Program Outcomes

Every year about 60% of the students pursue higher education, 30% of the students go for employment through campus or private placements.

• An ability to apply knowledge of physics, mathematics and electronics as appropriate to the field of electronics technical practice.
• An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as analyze and interpret the data.
• An ability to design an electronics system both digital and analog, that meets desired specifications and requirements.
• An ability to use the techniques, skills and modern tools necessary to analyze electronics technical problems.
• Knowledge of contemporary issues like increased use of portable devices, rising health care equipments and etc. which influence electronic system design.
• An ability to use C-language to support the writing of programs.
• An ability to recognize and adapt to emerging applications in Microprocessor and Microcontroller.

Facilities

Laboratory

The Department is having moderately equipped laboratory, which has following important Instruments in sufficient numbers.

• Cathode ray Oscilloscopes
• Audio Frequency Oscillators.
• Microprocessor Trainer Kits (8085).
• Microcontroller 8051 Kit.
• Optical Fiber Kit.
• Modulation and Demodulation Shift Keying.
• Computers.

  Apart from these number of power supply units, both Analog and Digital Ammeters and Volt meters, multimeters etc. So that two to three students can access one experiment during regular lab course.

  Department Library

  The department has an independent library consisting of nearly 200 Electronics books. Both students and Staff of the department can use this facility.

  • Students are encouraged to design small projects and also to publish departmental magazine. “Communication” is the Departmental Bi-annual magazine which includes Biography of one of the Scientists, article related to Electronics, achievements of Students and Staff.
  • Guest lectures and workshops on current topics are conducted.
  • Lab manuals and theory question banks of all semesters are prepared by the Staff of the Department.
  • PPT Presentations lectures are conducted wherever necessary.

Future Plans

• Upgrading the department with well equipped research laboratory.
• Encourage students to appear IIT-JAM and KVPY exams by providing external coaching.
• Enhance the number of reference books in the departmental Library.
• To organize Guest lectures seminars.
• Conduct workshop on use and service of Modern Electronic gadgets.
• Popularizing Electronics through community interactions.
• To promote pdf notes and recorded video lectures.
