Course Overview

Aspirants with the following subject combination in class 12th i.e., PCM, PCMB, PCB have a wide range of options both at UG (Under- Graduate) and PG (Post- Graduate) level. Aspirants can choose to pursue courses such as BSC, MSC and PhD in variety of Science branches/ Specialization such as physic, chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Nursing, Agriculture, Electronic, Bio- Technology, Horticulture, Home Science, Forensic Science.


Most of the colleges and universities across India offer admission to candidates in BScs courses on the basis of merit. The merit list is prepared by the authorities on the basis of the candidate’s marks in class 12th. To pursue studies in MSc and PhD students need to take entrance exams. Top science entrance exams are IIT JAM, ICAR AIEEA, MCAER CET, NEST etc.


Career, Job and Companies

There is a wide variety of career prospects for students from science and non-science background. Job/ career prospect in field of science depends on the courses and specializations of candidate, for example a candidate with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in physics can build his/her career in field of space and Astronomy, Healthcare, Metrology and Geophysics.


There are many companies that hire students from science background- GOOGLE, BHEL, BAARC, GAIL, HCL Technologies etc.

B.Sc Semester Course

A. Basic :

C. Optional Papers:

  • Physics-Chemistry-Mathematics (PCM)
  • Physics-Mathematics-Electronics (PME)
  • Physics-Mathematics-Statistics (PMS)
  • Chemistry-Botany-Zoology (CBZ)
  • Computer Science-Mathematics-Statistics (CSMS)
  • Biotechnology-Chemistry-Zoology (BTCZ)
  • Biotechnology-Chemistry-Botany (BTCB)

D. Compulsory papers:

  • B.Sc.I Semester - Indian Constitution
  • B.Sc.II Semester - Human Rights and Environmental Studies
  • B.Sc.III Semester - Personality Development & Communication Skills
  • B.Sc.IV Semester - Computer Application

B.Sc.V and VI Semester there will be two papers in each Optional subjects and three papers for Optional Mathematics
