Overview

The commerce department came in to existence in 1977 under the dynamic leadership of Prof. N Vajrakumar who served two and half decades to bring name and fame to the institution. The department has a track record of excellent achievements of faculty members and students seeking admission. Dr Ajith Prasad was the former principal, who introduced several changes in infrastructure and information, innovative methods for teaching. Dr G Krishnamurthy who is presently serving as the principal has also contributed for the welfare of the college. The demand ratio at present is 100:400. Department of commerce has well qualified and experienced faculty members.
